Sijarira / Chete is our combined hunting area only divided by the Sengwa river. Sijarira is a forestry area and Chete is a National Park Safari Area. Both areas together cover a total area of close to 500 000 acres of untouched African wilderness with the Big 5 roaming freely. None of these areas has any villages or communities inside the hunting area – It is untamed Africa like hundreds of years ago!
In the heart of Zimbabwe, on the South Western shores of Lake Kariba is Sijarira, offering visitors hunting and fishing. It is a forestry area and one of Zimbabwe’s most rugged concessions. Its hilly country means that the area is not well developed in terms of roads, therefore, some areas are only accessible on foot. Hunting is mainly by boat, vehicles and on foot with our top Sijarira hunting safari packages.
Both Chete & Sijarira are owned by our partner in Zimbabwe so this allows us the very rare opportunity to move between the areas without much hassle should one of the areas not produce the necessary movement or action that we need.
